Holiday Bokeh!

It took me a while to get into the holiday spirit this season (though I have to laugh a little at my definition of "a while"..after all, it's only the 9th of December).

While the stores and radio and everyone else (it seems) is ready for the onslaught of shopping and decorating and baking..I just, wasn't.  I was actually kind of feeling like a grinch.  But I finally took the box of Christmas decorations down from the attic, started my Christmas shopping & ordered my Christmas cards..all today!

Apparently just in time, because they are having a holiday bokeh party over at My 3 Boybarians and I loooove me some bokeh.  And I was sort of feeling not-so-creative about Day 4 of 'Twas the Write before Christmas (which just so happened to be themed around the grinch today..how appropriate) so I thought this photograph could fit nicely with that as well.  Bam-two birds, one stone..let my holiday productivity BEGIN!

Oh and I forgot to mentino, I made the hearts bokeh with (believe it or not) black construction paper and duct tape. I just cut out a little heart in the middle of a the black construction paper and then placed the whole construction paper cap over the front of my lens. Its actually really easy, you should try it and make more pretty bokeh pics! :)

Drool -- that bokeh is dreamy ;) (And, I think, very Whoville-ish!)

I love that - and I love that there is so much color in your bokeh. I tend to like white lights on my tree but colored lights are so pretty in bokeh.

Marci, that is such a pretty shot! I love the colorful lights twinkling in the blurry background.
So glad you're getting in the spirit and that you found your creativity for the day! So was Day Four a little challenging? It's been the hardest for me so far.
